What forms of payment do you accept?

Backyardbargain's customers may purchase products by any major credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express), PayPal® or Google Checkout.If you would like to pay by Cashier's Check or Money Order, please call Backyardbargain.com Customer Service toll free at 1-877-652-3954. Under the Fair Credit Billing Act, your bank cannot hold you liable for more than $50.00 of fraudulent charges. If your bank does hold you liable for any of this $50.00, Backyardbargain.com will cover the entire liability for you, up to the full $50.00. Is it safe to use my debit card on your website?

Yes. Please note that if you choose to pay by debit card, the amount you charge will be put on "hold", meaning it will not be available to you once you place your order. When your order is shipped, your order total will be withdrawn from your account and the original "hold" will be voided

Do you charge sales tax on orders?

Shipments to Georgia are subject to 6% sales tax. There is no sales tax on orders shipped outside Georgia.

What is a Card Verification Number?

Card Verification Number is a 3 or 4 digit number found in the signature area on the back of your credit card or on the front of your American Express card. We require the Card Verification Number to be entered on all orders as a protection to our customers. We hope that you will be pleased with the high standards of business practices on our website.

Why won't my order go through?

Below are the most common explanations for an order not going through:

If the error message references billing address verification error, this typically indicates that the credit card company or the network they use has coded a different billing address than you provided. If you moved within the past 6-9 months, you may want to enter the old billing address and try again. Please note you may want to contact your credit card (or bank) first as each attempt will place a hold on the funds being attempted for pre-authorization.

If the error message references the order is being refused, please contact your credit card company (or bank) to determine their reason for the refusal.

If you experience an error after checking out of the shopping cart, but before entering any other information, this typically indicates that your computer is not set to accept cookies. When placing an order I get an error message stating that there has been an authorization failure. What went wrong?

Please double check the credit card number and expiration date on your card. Also, please be aware that we currently accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express for credit card payment. Below are additional explanations for an order not going through:

Do you ship to addresses outside the United States?

We ship to all US States and Territories, except Hawaii and Puerto Rico. Sorry, we do not ship internationally at this time.

Do you ship to PO boxes or Military APO/FPO addresses?

No, we cannot ship to PO Boxes and Military APO/FPO addresses.

What does additional charges may apply mean?

Additional fees are charged for certain items because of their weight and size.   Prices are subject to change at any time.

Can I ship items to multiple addresses?

Yes, you can. Any time you have more than one item in your cart, you will have the ability to ship the items to multiple addresses during Checkout.

We ship via FedEx Ground Service within the Contiguous 48 States. We do not ship to PO Boxes, APO/FPO, Hawaii, Alaska, Canada, and US Territories (such as Guam and Puerto Rico).

What is your Return Policy?

Backyard Bargain.com offers a no-hassle return policy. For any reason, if you are not satisfied with your purchase, return it and Backyard Bargain.com will promptly refund your money to the original credit card (excluding your cost of returning the package to BackyardBargain.com). Simply follow the instructions:

  1. Returns will not be accepted beyond 30 days from the original shipping date.
  2. Products must be new, unused, unaltered and uninstalled (contact with water or any liquids.) The items must arrive with the original packaging and accessories. Products not in original condition will not be accepted for return.
  3. Indicate your Return Authorization Number (Use your Order #) on the packing slip, on the outside of the box and include your packing slip with your return. 
  4. Returns must be shipped prepaid by the customer and insured directly to Backyard Bargain com. If the return is due to a Backyard Bargain.com error…Please contact Backyard Bargain com.  Please allow two weeks for your return to be processed.
  5. All FREE SHIPPING items returns-Customer will be charged back shipping costs that Backyard Bargain originally paid to ship.  Handle all returns delicately!!
  6. Customers will be responsible for shipping charges on any refused shipments.

Backyard Bargain.com does not charge restocking fees for items that fit within our return policy guidelines. To ensure you do not get charged a restocking fee make sure your item is in new condition and in the original box and that you are still within the 30 day return window. 

 
How can I return merchandise?
Please complete the Return Form located on the back of your invoice included with your package. Then repack the product in the original packing materials used for shipping, and enclose your completed Return Form. If you do not have your invoice, please include a note letting us know why you are returning the package and how you would like us to proceed with your return, exchange, or refund. For your convenience, the Return Form includes a pre-addressed Return Label that you may use to ship the package back to us - simply attach the label to your package. Please note: The shipping is NOT prepaid. We recommend that you send your package by a traceable method.
How long does it take for a refund or replacement?

Once we receive your return item(s), we will credit your original payment method for the full purchase price of each item in the return shipment. Once UPS shows that we received your return package, allow 10-14 business days for your credit to be issued.

Please allow 1-2 weeks following receipt of your return for exchanges to arrive, if you requested an exchange. We will send you an order confirmation email for your exchange order as soon as it is placed. If you are in a hurry, return your original item for a refund and place a new order online for your replacement item. This will expedite your receipt of the new/replacement item.
